Becoming a Patient

So you’re interested in becoming a patient . . . that’s great!

To start the process, all you have to do is call our office at (253) 460-4244 and set up a time with Linda, Kami, Carrie or Kaitlyn.  They’ll be happy to assist you in finding the best time to schedule your first appointment.

If you’d like to complete your initial paperwork in advance, you can download it from our site and complete it at your convenience . . . just remember to bring it with you to your first appointment.

Day 1 (60-min.)

If you downloaded and completed your paperwork at home, don’t forget to bring it with you on your first visit. If you would like to complete the paperwork at our office, make sure you show up at least 30-minutes before your scheduled appointment, so that you have enough time to complete it. When you come in, you’ll meet with either Dr. Roundy or Dr. Bucasas and they will spend between 45-60 minutes with you. During this time, a review of your pertinent history will be covered, a Chiropractic examination will be performed, and if you’re accepted as a patient, radiographs (x-rays) will be performed.

Following the consultation, examination and radiographs, you’ll be asked to set up an appointment for the earliest date possible (preferably one or two days later).

Day 2 (30-min.)

On your second visit, Dr. Roundy will review your examination and radiographic findings with you. Any questions that you have will be eagerly addressed.

Before you’re adjusted, Dr. Roundy will explain how the adjustment works and what it will feel like (very, very gentle!). Because we use an Atlas Orthogonal Percussion Instrument, your neck will never be twisted or popped.

Once Dr. Roundy determines that the adjustment was successful, you’ll head down the hall to the examination room and take one or two post-adjustment films, depending on the problems you initially presented with. These follow-up films will be analyzed and compared to your original, pre-adjustment films; they tell the doctor if the adjustment was right on target, or if the adjustment needs to be changed in any way.

Other Visits (5-15 min.)

On subsequent visits, Dr. Roundy will determine whether or not you are subluxated and in need of a specific chiropractic adjustment. If you’re subluxated, he will adjust – If you’re not subluxated, he will estimate your spinal stability and set up a later appointment.
